'Feature' and 'Boundary' tools

Easily outline a feature, like a house or a property boundary with the 'Feature' and 'Boundary' buttons shown in the 'Draw' section of the top bar. Please make sure that any drawn lines are in a selected area using a tool like 'Paper Size' or 'Rectangle'. Please note the lines will only appear on PDF or PNG format maps.

The area of the outlined feature or boundary will appear at the bottom of the site on the black menu bar.

If you want to manually outline a feature, then you can use the 'Outline' button shown within the 'Draw' drop-down menu or if you want to partially outline a feature or property, you can use the ''Snap to point'' tool (see below).

'Snap to point' tool

If you need to partly outline a feature like a property or boundary, you can use the 'Snap to point' tool as shown in the following video. Click the 'Snap to point' tool and you'll see small square 'handles' appearing around the property or boundary. Click once on one of them to start outlining it and click each one to outline what you need until you're finished.

Please make sure that any drawn lines are covered by a selected area using a tool like 'Paper Size' or 'Rectangle'.

Please note the lines will only appear on PDF or PNG format maps.

If you want to manually outline a feature, then you can use the 'Outline' button shown within the 'Draw' drop-down menu or if you want to completely outline a feature or property, you can use the ''boundary'' or ''feature'' tool (see above).

Both of the tools will help you design your site and location plans and be ready to submit them to your local authority for approval. Try them now here.
